bicycle upright handlebars

I bought my first Yamaha FZ6 Motorcycle 3 weeks back. This is a brand new 2008. Since then I have done a bit Riding and discover what this bike has.

Some background … I own two Yamaha motorcycles before purchasing one. They were Both Yamaha R6 sportbikes. These R6S were both fast … Very fast. And would not you, I like to go fast. This question was, however, they not at all comfortable for long journeys. You sit, on the gas tank with hands and arms at a strange angle at the detention on the handlebars.

One of the criteria I set when considering a new bike, and finally the Yamaha FZ6, was comfort. The other was the power and speed. What I encountered during the FZ6 is much more straight up riding position (much more comfortable for the rider and passengers) and a R6 engine spunky.

A major distinction, other than the two points I mentioned above, is that the lack of Yamaha FZ6 fairings on the sides to cover the engine and components as the R6. I never really had a preference one way or other, but now that I own the bike, I become lovers of "naked" look.

So, How's Yamaha FZ6 stack up my criteria? Fabulously!

The Yamaha FZ6 has everything that I knew it could be. The vertical driving style is much more tolerable long hikes and, for me, makes the bike easier to maneuver. In the speed department, it is still broken and I have not exceeded the 8,000 rpm. But even in this lower range, it has a specific torque and power. And from what I heard, the bike is a rocket-ship above 8,000 rpm. I'll let you know after I start to really see what he has.

My only Reviews so far are the design of the seat and wind screen. I do not particularly like the design of the seat … I'm used to seat R6. This is an aesthetic complaint and has little to do with real comfort. The seat can be exchanged, however, and there are a myriad of after-seats available on the market that can give it some personality.

Regarding the windshield, it does not deflect air over the air above rider as it should. At a speed high enough, I'm sure it could be a problem. Looking around, I came across Windscreen Puig Racing I heard use the situation to some extent. This is probably one of the first additions I make to the new Yamaha FZ6.

Thank you for reading my first impressions about the Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle.
