On a warm spring day, nothing beats a bicycle ride at leisure the Currituck Outer Banks. Why spend money on gas, when you can jump on a beach cruiser and visit Currituck County through the liquidation of many bike paths that border the beauty and historical interest shore North Carolina?
For recreational riders and serious cyclists, Currituck Outer Banks provide a wonderful opportunity to explore the county and beyond, on two wheels. From the north end of the beach in Corolla NC on Highway 12 you pass the flora and fauna at Currituck Heritage Park and a multitude of multipurpose trails and quiet streets. From there on May meander through neighborhoods serene Outer Banks on trails close to Sanderling and duck.
Beach cruisers are Welcome to the banks as well, allowing visitors to feel the breeze of the salty ocean as they glide past the lapping waves of the Atlantic. If you happen to any Internet or players of volleyball on the road, be sure to sell!

Perched on a bicycle saddle, there is much to see on a spring or summer days Wheeling through Coinjock Corolla or by the shore. NC 12 cyclists who make the north end will eventually meet the Whalehead Club and Currituck Lighthouse Park, the perfect place for a break. Staying over along the shore in May provide the opportunity for the famous wild mustangs Currituck frolicking on the beach. If you are on horseback, however, be aware of do not get too close and scare the animals because they are in their natural habitat.
Sharing the Road
Because many trails road bike friendly in Currituck Outer Banks are also part of the state highway system, you will often find cyclists and drivers on the road together enjoying their vacation. State observe traffic laws for bicycles and bicycles as motor vehicles, so visitors must comply to traffic laws as other motorists. Especially in summer, when people from all over the country come to enjoy a fun and holiday relaxing, it is important to remember safety and courtesy when sharing the road.
